This website is a static site without advertising and without cookies. The only audience measurement is Cloudflare's cookieless Web Analytics — it processes as little data as technically possible. This policy explains what data is processed when you visit and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, your browser connects to Cloudflare's servers, which technically requires processing of connection data — in particular your IP address, the requested URL, browser type, and the time of the request (server logs). Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR) to deliver the site reliably and securely. We do not receive or store server log files ourselves. The same applies to downloads such as the CV PDFs — they are delivered as static files like any other page.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient delivery of this website. Cloudflare may process data in the USA; transfers are safeguarded by Cloudflare's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and by standard contractual clauses. This site does not set any cookies. Only two values are stored in your browser's local storage: your chosen color theme ("theme") and your language choice ("lang"). These values never leave your device, are not transmitted to us or anyone else, and serve solely functions you explicitly use (§ 25 Abs. 2 TDDDG — no consent required). You can delete them at any time via your browser settings. For cookieless audience measurement, see the next section.

For aggregate audience measurement we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records only aggregated usage data — page views, approximate visitor counts, referring sites, and country (derived from the IP address, which is not stored for this purpose). Cloudflare Web Analytics works without cookies, without local storage, and without fingerprinting; it sets no cross-device or cross-site identifiers, and individual visitors are not recognized.

Because no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in privacy-preserving audience measurement. The processing is carried out by Cloudflare, Inc. as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR); more information: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

This website links to external third-party sites (e.g. GitHub, LinkedIn, Xing). When you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies; data is only transferred to them once you click.

Regarding your personal data, you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, contact us at the address above.
